Our Walks and Hikes are designed for people who want to experience the natural beauty of Crete without unnecessary distraction. These are not endurance challenges or races to the finish. They are opportunities to slow down, look more closely and enjoy the remarkable landscapes that make Crete so special.
The route displayed on your screen will guide you safely along the trail, while important information is provided only when it genuinely adds value. You may discover endemic plants, wild flowers, medicinal and edible herbs, unusual trees, geological features, abandoned settlements and, depending on the season, birds, butterflies and other wildlife. Where appropriate, safety warnings or practical advice will appear as on-screen notifications.
Unlike our WalkAbout and Driving Tours, these walks deliberately keep spoken commentary to a minimum. We believe nature is best appreciated by listening to the sounds around you rather than to a constant narration. You are free to stop whenever something catches your attention, take photographs, enjoy the view or simply spend a few quiet moments in a place that deserves them.
Our aim is not to help you collect another “I survived…” T-shirt. It is to help you discover places that many visitors never see, to notice the details that are so easily missed, and to leave with a deeper appreciation of Crete’s natural environment.
Before each walk begins, you will hear a short introduction explaining the route and anything you should know before setting off. After that, the landscape becomes your guide, with the app quietly assisting only when necessary.

Magical Crete Audio Tours are different. They are designed for independent travellers who prefer to explore at their own pace. Start whenever you choose, pause for photographs, spend as long as you like at a place that captures your attention, and continue only when you are ready.
Our app quietly guides you along the route while providing spoken narration, on-screen information or safety notifications where they genuinely add value. Whether you are exploring a town, driving through the countryside or enjoying one of our nature walks, you remain in control of your own experience.
There is no timetable to follow, no group to keep up with and no pressure to move on before you are ready. Our tours are designed to help you experience Crete in a way that suits your own interests and your own pace.
