The Explore Crete app brings together three different ways to discover Crete, each designed for a different type of traveller.
Walks and Hikes take you into Crete’s mountains, gorges and countryside. There is no audio involved in this type of walk/hike. The purpose is to help you experience nature rather than distract you from it. Information about plants, wildlife, geology and points of interest appears only when and where it is useful.
WalkAbout Tours guide you through villages, towns and cities. These are fully narrated experiences that reveal the history, architecture, traditions and people that have shaped each place.
Driving Tours allow you to discover entire regions of Crete from your own vehicle. Navigation, carefully timed narration and detailed research combine to create an immersive journey without the need to follow a group or fixed timetable.
Every route is researched, walked or driven by the Magical Crete team using dedicated GPS equipment. Routes are regularly checked and updated to ensure they remain accurate and reliable.
The app includes a selection of free routes so you can experience how it works before purchasing additional tours. New routes are released regularly and are automatically added to your personal library after purchase.
