We went on a trip with Anna to the Spily area. An autumn trip that began with hot chocolate at the Marvell spice farm. We immersed ourselves in the scents of the spice shop and the sights of the blooming garden corners, and from there we continued on a nature walk. With Anna, we learned to recognize the flora, what not to touch, and what was good to taste. The wind greeted us as we climbed the mountain, but then a wonderful valley spread out before us. Only with Anna could we discover these hidden corners of Rethymno Crete.

Anna took us on a wonderful trip in the Amari Valley. The trail she chose is called ‘Garden of Eden Path’. A three-hour hike accompanied by comprehensive explanations about the churches we encountered, the daily lives of the village residents, and extensive knowledge about local vegetation – made this trip fascinating and enjoyable. We ended the day at a wonderful rural restaurant with traditional Cretan dishes. Go for it. Highly recommended.
